Gumtree Farmstay, only 6km to historic Oamaru but really it's a world away!
When you stay at Gumtree you have the opportunity to experience daily life with the locals in a tranquil rural setting. Your accommodation is within our spacious family home, where we farm cattle and sheep on 200 acres. Pat the sheep, meet the farm animals, hand milk the cow (seasonal).
Gumtree Farmstay has two guest rooms available within our family home. We can accommodate a maximum of 5 guests - a trundle bed can be set up in Dahlia Room if necessary. The large bathroom and separate toilet are for guest use only during your stay with us. Please note we only ever book one travel party at a time so you will not be sharing these facilities with other guests. A Kiwi style evening meal and sheep shearing demonstration available with advance notice - additional charges apply.
Children over 2 years of age most welcome. Sorry we are unable to accommodate children younger than 2 years. Access to our home is via a flight of stairs and there are a couple of stairs inside the house, therefore our property is unsuitable for wheelchair access.

Prices valid until 31/08/2014 All rates are for one night accommodation and include continental breakfast, free wi-fi, afternoon tea (home baking/tea/coffee) on arrival if desired, plus a tour of the farm is also included weather permitting.
