Golfer's Paradise

The Waitaki district has seven golf courses that provide interesting scenery and a variety of levels to suit all players. For the perfect golf weekend away combine your day activity with some of the country’s best food and wine at night

North Otago Golf Club

North Otago golf course is an undulating 18 Hole course beside the sea with views of the Pacific Ocean and mountains. A well bunkered, tree lined fairways and challenging course. Only 2 holes do not have greenside bunkers. Fully stocked pro shop. Hire clubs, motorized carts and lessons available.

Lower Waitaki Golf Club

Established in 1976 the 18 hole 72 par course is situated on the lower Waitaki river plain approximately 12 km north of Oamaru. The course is mainly flat, fully irrigated with generous fairways and easily walked by the average golfer. For men there are 3 separate tee options. Presently the club has approximately 200 members mainly from Oamaru and the surrounding district.

Waitoa Park Golf Club

9 Hole course located 5 minutes south of Oamaru .

Kurow Golf Club

9 Hole golf course situated in Kurow - The heart of the Waitaki Valley. All fairways and greens fully irrigated and maintained to a high standard. Lovely clubrooms with full facilities. Green Fees $15. Club & Cart hire available.

Otemetata Golf Club

9 holes, undulating fairways. On the shores of Lake Aviemore below Benmore Dam. Very picturesque.

Omarama Golf Club

A pleasant, flat, 9 hole course bounded by the Omarama Stream with fine views of the mountains.
