Glenmac is a 4000 acre high country farm running merino sheep and beef cattle - located near to Kurow, a 45 minute drive inland from Oamaru on Highway 83 which is a direct route to and from Mt Cook.
The farmhouse is in a picturesque and peaceful setting with views of the hills and surrounding farmland.
Enjoy dinner with the family and breakfast at a time to suit you. On farm enjoy tramping/hiking some of our many tracks (full day or shorter tramps and range from easy to challenging) Horse riding/trekking - guided rides from one hour to day rides over farmland and tussock country. The Four wheel drive tour is the easier way to enjoy the scenery and the views which range from the mountains to the sea.
We welcome day visitors to the farm by prior arrangement and meals are available. Please do call ahead as sometimes we are busy and not able to provide this option. We are near to well know fishing rivers - fly and spinner fishing with a guide available by arrangement. A 10 minute drive will take you to a lovely nine hole golf course and the opportunity to explore the small town of Kurow and maybe enjoy the walkways nearby. As well as fully catered farmhouse accommodation we also have budget backpacker accommodation and limited facilities for campervans and tents. All meals are available by arrangement.
